Three people are dead, including a Binghamton man, in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 81 in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.

State Police say 44 year old Brooks Lee of Binghamton was driving north in the south bound lanes of the highway shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, May 7, when his Chevrolet Silverado collided head-on with a Kia Sedona in Harford Township.

Lee was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of the eight occupants of the mini-van died as a result of the crash.  Six other occupants of the Kia were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The names of the occupants of the mini-van have not been released pending notification of family.

The investigation is continuing and troopers say they don't know at what point the pickup truck began traveling the wrong way on the interstate.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police at (570) 465-3154.
