Conspiracy Charged in Cortlandville Milk Theft
Police say three people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a case of chocolate milk from a delivery truck in the town of Cortlandville.
Authorities say the sweetened dairy beverage was stolen from the parked vehicle outside an Express Mart store on Route 11.
Store employees told police the milk was swiped as the truck driver was making a delivery.
Officers located the two men and a woman who were suspected in the theft. They were said to be in possession of some of the stolen milk.
According to the Cortland County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Matthew Maricle and 18-year-old Nelson Maricle were arrested, along with 21-year-old Lori Maricle. Matthew and Nelson Maricle are brothers.
All three were charged with petit larceny and conspiracy. They were ordered to appear in court on April 13.
