The First Recipient of Owego Free Academy’s Student of the Month Award Named

Owego Free Academy has launched a new Student of the Month Award.The first recipient of this new award, OFA’s Chelsea Murphy was presented with a certificate and a t-shirt by Heath Georgia, OFA principal, Scott Snyder, OFA girls varsity basketball coach, and Tom Beatty, OFA assistant principal.

According to Georgia, recipients will be selected largely based on “random acts of kindness.”

In March, a second Student of the Month will be selected, and an Employee of the Month will be selected for the first time.
