Binghamton High School students, teachers and staff along with dozens of additional community volunteers held their annual Thanksgiving Dinner in the cafeteria at Binghamton High.  Organizers estimate over 200 volunteers combine to put on the dinner which is open and free to the community.

National Honor Society President Maggie Rose Pellella heads up the effort.  She says it is an honor to be part of the dinner and to provide something nice for so many in the area.  There is no charge for the meal which comes with all the fixings including roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy and apple pie and cookies for dessert.

The meal gives people of all backgrounds and incomes a chance to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.  The school's food service staff volunteers their time to prepare the dinner.  You will find retired teachers, administrators and coaches on hand to help.  Broome County Executive Debbie Preston was on hand to volunteer her time to help serve the meals as well. The dinner drew well over 1,000 visitors.
