Texas Man Arrested for DWI in Delaware County

A Texas man is accused of driving drunk in Delaware County.

Sheriff’s officials say 46 year old Joel Ortega of El Paso was arrested following a crash at the intersection of New York Highway 10 and Delaware County Route 2 in the Town of Hamden at 1:40 a.m. June 4.

Authorities accused Ortega of not only driving drunk but speeding and using a portable electronic device while driving.

He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Hamden Court next month.
