Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a report of a suspicious person in Wysox.

Officials say at 2:50 p.m. December 3, a man made contact with a homeowner on State Route 6 (The Golden Mile) and invited himself in.

The suspect reportedly started asking inappropriate questions about a neighbor and claimed to sell “dog insurance”.

Authorities say the man did not provide credentials or appear to have any legitimate reason for his visit.

He was told to leave and drove off in a blue GMC sport utility vehicle with tinted windows.

Troopers say the man was about 60 years old, white, wearing a black leather jacket, along with a black shirt and pants.  He was clean-shaven.

Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police at (570) 265-2186.
