Suspects Arrested in McDonald’s Heist

Two suspects are in custody in connection with the early morning March 3^rd robbery of the McDonald’s Restaurant near Hickories Park in the Town of Owego.

32 year old Alan Ryant Junior and 37 year old Robyn Kipp were arrested following a search of their home and vehicle and charged with felony robbery.

The pair was sent to the Tioga County Jail to await Grand Jury action.

Investigators say they have uncovered indications of a conspiracy between a McDonald’s employee and Ryant.

Authorities received a report of a robbery at the McDonald’s at 1:20 a.m. with word that a man had ambushed a female employee as she left the restaurant, forced her back in and forced all but the manager into the cooler.

The manager gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash before also being locked in the cooler.

There were no injuries.
