ERIC MATTHEW FREIN [Bristol Township Police][/caption]Investigators say a 31-year-old man is suspected of shooting two Pennsylvania state troopers. One of those wounded, a corporal, died.

Police say warrants have been issued for Eric Matthew Frein of Canadensis in Monroe County.

Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan this afternoon said Frein is "extremely dangerous."

Noonan said Frein had been "described as a survivalist."

Investigators believe Frein shot Corporal Bryon Dickson and Trooper Alex Douglass around 10:50 p.m. Friday outside the state police barracks in Blooming Grove in Pike County, east of Scranton.

Dickson was killed and Douglass was critically injured in the shooting.

A vehicle thought to have been used by Frein was found partially submerged in a pond about two miles from the state police barracks.
