Southern Tier Man Faces Sex Offender & Drug Charges

A registered sex offender is in custody for failing to register a change of address following investigations in Broome and Tioga Counties.

Vestal Police say they recently discovered 23 year old Jose Pabon was not living at an address in the Town where he had told Tioga County Sheriff’s officials he was going to move upon leaving Owego.

Instead, officials say they found Pabon was living at another Owego address.

Tioga County Sheriff’s officials arrested Pabon August 18 on felony drug charges not related to the registration violation.

Deputies say Pabon was charged with two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Under Vestal’s jurisdiction, Pabon is to be charged with felony failure to register under the sex offender registration act.
