Appearing on the September 21 installment of the local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up, Goodwill Theatre executive director Niama Kradjian talks about the theater season just getting underway at the Shore Family Firehouse Stage.

Kradjian says a very diverse variety of performances are planned with touring companies from across the country making the journey to the intimate theater at Corliss Avenue and Willow Street in Johnson City.  Shows include children's plays, comedy, cabaret, contemporary piano compositions, a performance by a harpist and the ever popular Jazz Jams with local musicians kicking back, creating amazing music together.

Off the topic of the season schedule itself, Kradjian provides some insight into the world of a touring performer, plans for the Goodwill Theatre and an artists academy.

The Shore Family Firehouse Stage season schedule, ticket information and updates on the renovation of the Goodwill Theatre can all be found online at www.goodwilltheatre.net (noticed 'theatre' is spelled the 'English' way)

Southern Tier Close Up can be heard Saturdays at 12:10 p.m. on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
