Sherburne Man is Accused of Child Endangerment

A Village of Sherburne resident is accused of child endangerment.

Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say they received several 911 calls March 12 and were able to narrow down the location of the first call to a cell phone at a home in the Village.

Deputies say their investigation found that two children were unsupervised for over 45 minutes while there was drug paraphernalia and medication within reach of the children.
33 year old Richard Hedges is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

He’s been ordered to appear in Village of Sherburne Court at a later date.
