Section 4 Football Championships this Weekend

Section 4 football champions will be crowned this weekend with five games scheduled for Alumni Stadium in Binghamton.  Two champions will be crowned November 6 and three more on November 7.

Getting things underway November 6 at 7 p.m. the Class A title game features the Johnson City Wildcats versus the Maine-Endwell Spartans.  Johnson City advanced to the championship round with a 29-6 win over Vestal.  The Spartans eliminated Union-Endicott 28-8 to move to the title round.  M-E is 9-0, ranked number one in New York State and riding a 60-game winning streak.

Then Deposit/Hancock meets Tioga at 8:00 p.m. in the Class D championship game. Deposit/Hancock is 9-0 while Tioga is 8-1 with the only loss to Newark Valley 35-32.Winners advance to the state quarter final round which will be hosted by Section 4 the following weekend.
