Sayre Woman Accused of Stealing from Man’s Account

A Sayre, Pennsylvania woman is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from an elderly man’s bank account over a period of several months.

Sayre Police say 47 year old Rosemary Scholes is charged with felony theft by deception, failure to properly handle funds and access device fraud for the theft of $30,000, including a $20,000 withdrawal at a casino.

Scholes was sent to the Bradford County Jail on $28,000 bail.
