Runners Raise Funds For Binghamton Bark Park

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

Dozens of people are expected to participate in a fundraising event for the Bark Park on Binghamton’s North Side.

The recreational facility for dogs at Cheri Lindsey Park opened last year.

The second annual Bark Park Trail Run is being held Sunday at Chenango Valley State Park in the town of Fenton. The race is to start at 2 p.m.

Speaking on WNBF Radio’s Binghamton Now program, Caroline Quidort, one of the event organizers, said participants will run a three-and-a-half mile course that will feature a few obstacles.

Quidort said although many people pre-registered for the event, runners also may register just prior to the run at State Park.

There’s more information about the Bark Park at the facility’s website.
