A holiday tradition in Binghamton is now open at the Roberson Museum and Science Center.

Speaking on the weekly local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up, marketing director Jason Fiumi talks about this year's Home for the Holidays that runs at the Front Street mansion through January 4.

Fiumi says this year, the decorations combine the holidays with fashion in addition to the collection of international trees to reflect the traditions of various ethnic groups living in the Greater Binghamton Area.

Showcase trees in the Visitor Center portion of the museum are sponsored by local groups and businesses and can be viewed free prior to buying admission to the museum.

Fiumi also touches on the history of the museum, the Roberson Mansion and the Roberson family.

Home for the Holidays is open 7 days a week Saturday-Wednesday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday and Friday 11 a.m.-9p.m.

More information can be found at www.roberson.org and by calling (607) 772-0660.
