Three new red wolves are making themselves home at Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton.

The mom and two daughters, Momma, Piglet and Miku come from the Beardsley Zoo in Connecticut and are living on one side of the Wolf Woods.

Grey would, Remus is on the other side of the wolf exhibit.

The zoo says Red Wolves are considered one of the rarest canids in the world and had been listed as extinct in the wild in 1980.

The 14 remaining wolves were caught by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to be bred in captivity.  They were reintroduced in North Carolina seven years later.  They are still considered Critically Endangered with only 175 left.
