The man accused of following a New Milford woman home after she left a bar in October, then fatally shooting her in her driveway, shot 22 year old Kelly Conklin 11 times, including in the back of the head.

That information was presented at a preliminary hearing in Susquehanna County for 34 year old Jonathan Kopacz of Thompson.

He holed up in his apartment and held police at bay following the shooting, threatening to harm himself and others, but was taken into custody following negotiations and a brief struggle.

Kopacz has admitted he killed Conklin and had given authorities a lengthy letter explaining his motive.

Kopacz had claimed he and Conklin had been in a relationship in the past, but that information is still under question.

Kopacz is charged with homicide, making terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.

The case has been held over on all charges in spite of a request that the terroristic threats count be dismissed.

A formal arraignment is scheduled for March 31.
