Prattsville Man Charged in Fatal Crash

The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal crash in Otsego County is being charged with felony vehicular manslaughter and misdemeanor drunk driving.

New York State Police in Richfield Springs responded to an emergency call about a crash on State Route 80 in the Town of Otsego 2:13a.m. May 21 and found the northbound car driven by 24 year old Brandon Lane of Prattsville left the road, became airborne and hit a tree on the passenger side.

21 year old Julia Levandowsky of Cooperstown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say they determined Lane was driving while intoxicated.  He was sent to the Otsego County Jail without bail.
