Port Dickinson Police say a Binghamton man is in jail after he tried to outrun authorities October 18.

Village police say 32 year old Bradley Hesco was seen in the yard of Erie Materials on Phelps Street, but ran from authorities.

Hesco allegedly jumped into a car that was hidden in a different location and led Port Dickinson Police on a brief car chase before abandoning the car on Kirkwood Avenue.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials, the New York State Police and City of Binghamton Police joined in the investigation, which also included a State Police K-9.

Hesco was finally located back at his home on Park Avenue and was charged with possession of burglary tools, criminal trespass and several vehicle and traffic violations.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail on $10,000 bail.
