Polkapalooza II Energizes Tioga Downs

There was a lot of dancing, clapping and toe tapping at Tioga Downs Casino in Nichols during Polkapalooza II April 11.  Four polka bands entertained from Noon - 8 p.m.  Kicking things off at Noon was Joe Stanky and the Cadets. They were followed by Jude's Polka Jets II, Fritz's Polka Band and wrapping up the evening John Stevens Doubleshot Band.

Hundreds of polka music fans turned out for all or some of the entertainment.  There was no admission fee charged for any of the shows.  WNBF's Barb Mack was the MC for the shows from 4-8 p.m.  The size of the crowd and the enthusiasm generated paved the way for the likelihood of more similar shows in the future.
