A Coventry couple is charged with endangerment after New York State Police say they found a toddler suffering from a drug overdose.

32 year old Christopher Byrne and 23 year old Casey Jones were arrested after a 20 month old girl was found inside a Coventry home under the influence of drugs.

The child was taken to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City then transferred to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where she was treated and released.

Jones and Byrne are each charged with one count of reckless endangerment, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful possession of marijuana, one count of unlawfully growing cannabis and three counts of possession of a controlled substance outside its original container.

Byrne and Jones were arrested following an investigation that began August 23.

They were sent to the Chenango County Jail.

Byrne is being held on $15,000 bail while bail was set for Jones at $10,000.
