Police: Driver’s BAC Was Three Times Legal Limit
A Binghamton man has been charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after his vehicle was stopped on Interstate 81.
Authorities say 59-year-old Steven Coffey's blood alcohol content was measured at more than triple the legal limit.
According to New York State Police, Coffey was arrested Saturday.
The vehicle stop occurred on I-81 in the town of Chenango.
Police say Coffey's reportable BAC result was 0.25 percent.
Coffey was arraigned in Barker town court and released.
