The Federal Aviation Administration is joining the investigation into the crash-landing of a small plane in an Otsego County corn field.

Pilot, 55 year old Edward Schoene of Springfield Center suffered serious injuries when his plane experienced engine trouble shortly after takeoff from the Oneonta Municpal Airport at around 8 p.m. July 6 and he was forced to put down in the field in the Town of Milford.

Schoene was transported to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
