Pennsylvania Man Charged in Wife’s Death
September 10, 2012 6:50 AM Pennsylvania state police have arrested a Wayne County man in connection with the shooting death of his wife.
Investigators say 59-year-old Bertrand Schroeder has been charged with criminal homicide.
Authorities say 51-year-old Donna Schroeder died at a Scranton hospital about six hours after she was shot in the couple’s Newfoundland home.
Police believe the shooting occurred around 12:30 Sunday morning.
Troopers seized dozens of dogs after the shooting. They say more than fifty beagles, including several puppies, were at the residence.
