Passed-Out Endicott Driver Arrested

An man is accused of sleeping in his running car while stopped in traffic in the area of Morlando Drive in the Town of Union.

Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies say they responded to a report of a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle stopped in traffic Thursday,April 28 and found 23 year old Dustin Mangino unresponsive while the vehicle was still running and in drive.

Deputies were able to wake Mangino up and get the vehicle turned off.

Authorities say the Endicott man was unable to perform field sobriety tests and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Mangino is charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
