Parades Honor Veterans on Memorial Day

There were many parades held in our area and around our nation today to honor those service men and women who sacrificed their lives in defense of our country.  Along with parades were many ceremonies and services held at various cemeteries in the area.

Sunny skies and mild temeperatures brought many people out to watch and cheer as veterans marched or rode in the procession.  Along with veterans, marching bands took part in some of the parades as well as various businesses and politicians.

The parade in Binghamton started at 2 PM and began at American Legion Post 80 and ended near the Broome County Courthouse.  Chenango Forks Marching Band participated as well as the Binghamton Patriots Band.
