Owego Man Accused of Trying to Sell Business its Own Scrap

An Owego man is accused of stealing over 100 pounds of aluminum from Weitsman’s Scrap then trying to sell it back to the business.

Tioga County Sheriff’s officials say 21 year old Corey Harders is accused of taking 137 pounds of aluminum from a Weitsman location on Recycle Drive in Owego then trying to sell it back to Weitsman’s office on West Main Street.

He’s charged with petit larceny and was ordered to appear in Town of Owego Court later this month.
