New York State Police say a man wanted for questioning in the theft of dozens of guns from a Norwich store has been found dead and his girlfriend is charged with burglary in connection with the thefts.

The body of 29 year old Christopher Gonzalez was found January 10 in a wooded area off Guinn Ridge Road in the Town of Norwich.

The death is under investigation.

Meanwhile, 25 year old Brandy Bousson was arrested January 8 and charged with felony burglary for the thefts of the guns from Mayhood’s Sporting Goods on Route 12 on January 6 and 7.

State Police last week said the two burglaries happened between 9:52 p.m. Monday, January 6 and 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7th.

Officials reported 22 handguns, several long guns and numerous boxes of ammunition had been taken and a man was seen on surveillance video from the store.

Bousson was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $250,000 bail.
