New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state will be spending $900,000 to fix the roads at the Chenango Valley State Park.

The Governor says that the project is part of a $90 million state commitment included in the budget to improve and repair 53 State Parks and Historic Sites.

Elsewhere in the Southern Tier, $5 million is earmarked to complete the redevelopment of the Main and North Park Entrances and improve aesthetics and traffic flow as well as pedestrian safety at Watkins Glen State Park, replace a failing drinking water system at Stony Brook State Park at a cost of $2,250,000 and repair stonework and the gorge and rim trails at Taughannock Falls State Park at a cost of $100,000.
