New Smoke Detectors To Be Given Out In Johnson City
Kidde and Home Depot have donated 2400 new smoke detectors to be given away to the residents of the Village of Johnson City, Westover and Fairmont Park. The donation of smoke detectors went to the Johnson City Fire Department. The new smoke detectors will be available at the Northside Fire Station on Harry L. Drive beginning Monday at 9 AM.
Residents will be able to get their free smoke detectors each weekday from 9 AM - 3 PM Monday through Friday while supplies last.
In order to get a free smoke detector residents will need two forms of identification for proof of residency. Acceptable forms of ID include a picture ID like a driver's license and a utility bill with your name and address on it.
Residents with any questions can contact Mayor Greg Deemie's office at 798-7861.
