York State Police say a New Berlin woman was driving with a blood alcohol content at more than three times the legal limit when she crashed her vehicle into the Dollar General Store on Main Street in Sherburne March 22.

Authorities say 51 year old Meridee Carpenter had a reportable BAC of .27%.

Troopers say she had fled the scene following the crash. Her vehicle was found a short time driving on Turnpike Road.

In addition to aggravated driving while intoxicated, Carpenter was charged with other traffic violations and ordered to appear in Town of Sherburne Court at a later date.
