Residents who need help signing up for coverage under the new Affordable Health Care Act can find assistance Tuesdays and Fridays with on-site navigators at the Rural Health Network of South Central New York, located at 2663 Main Street, Whitney Point.

Officials say navigators are able to help residents shop, compare and enroll in a public or private health insurance plan through the New York State of Health Marketplace.

Residents under 65 who need health insurance have until March 31st before they could face a penalty.

The Rural Health Network can be reached (607) 692-7669 for more information on health insurance, prescriptions, vision or dental services.
