A Long Island woman is facing numerous felony counts in Broome County after New York State Police say she allegedly stole tens of thousands of dollars from two credit unions.

27 year old Shakira Garner of Freeport is accused of identity theft and fraudulently opening accounts at the Visions and State Employee Federal Credit Unions, stealing $25,000.

State Police claim the thefts happened between October 21 and November 18 of last year.

She was found in Nassau County and arrested before being transported back to the Town of Chenango.

Garner is charged with five counts of felony grand larceny, two lesser felony counts of grand larceny, nine counts of felony forgery, two counts of felony identity theft and felony criminal possession of a forged instrument.

She was sent to the Broome county Jail without bail.
