The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force say they have arrested a Michigan man in connection with an investigation into the illegal sale of a firearm in Johnson City.

36 year old Gerald Johnson of Flint was arrested December 8 after police recovered a loaded .22 caliber handgun when they stopped his vehicle on Mai Street in Binghamton.

He is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one felony count of criminal sale of a firearm.

Authorities say Johnson was sent to the Broome County Jail on $250 bail.
