Few details are being released following the apparent discovery of an active methamphetamine laboratory in the Village of Johnson City.

Police were called with a report of a smell of chemicals coming from an apartment house on Lester Avenue, near Harry L. Drive shortly after 5 p.m. April 11.

Authorities blocked off the street and police and fire crews entered the building where they say they found what looked like an active meth lab.

The investigation is continuing and officials have not said anything about any arrests in the case.
