Several candidates for town of Union offices who'll be on the November 6 ballot will gather in Endicott Tuesday evening to introduce themselves to residents and answer questions.

The group Town of Union Citizens Against Fracking organized the "Meet the Candidates" program, which will be held at the Endicott Visitor Center at 300 Lincoln Avenue.

All issues of interest to Union residents, including those who live in the villages of Endicott and Johnson City, may be discussed by the candidates. People in the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions.

Organizers say John Cheevers, the Democratic candidate for town supervisor, has indicated he plans to participate. Deputy supervisor Rose Sotak, who is the Republican candidate for supervisor, has advised organizers that she won't be able to attend because of a scheduling conflict.

Republican incumbent town council candidates Tom Augostini and Frank Bertoni are planning to attend, as are Democratic challengers Frank Palmisano and Bill Tastle.

The program is to be moderated by WNBF Radio Binghamton Now host Bob Joseph.

It's scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
