A Binghamton man will be spending five years in prison thanks to an argument over chicken nuggets.

Lamont Weaver pleaded guilty in September to felony assault in the stabbing of a man on Crandall Street on May 28.

Investigators say the 39 year old victim was stabbed in the abdomen several times and sliced below the ear after the men got into a fight over the chicken nuggets.

Following release from prison, Weaver is to be on probation for five years and has also been ordered to pay a $75 fine.
