Man Punches 72 Year Old Woman in Cortland

Cortland Police are looking for a man who was reported to have approached a group of older women at night on December 1 near the intersection of Main Street and Clayton Avenue, said “hi”, then punched one of the women in the face.

The 72 year old suffered head and face injuries.

The man was believed to have been in his 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a slender build and red or blonde facial hair.

It’s possible the suspect may live in the area.
