Man Dies After Delaware County Crash

A Walton man died shortly after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree.

Authorities say 48-year-old Kelvin McKnight was operating the vehicle in the town of Hamden when the crash occurred Tuesday.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle went off Route 10 near the intersection with County Highway 26.

Investigators say McKnight was taken to O'Connor Hospital in Delhi, where he died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Deputies say a passenger, 23-year-old James Spain of Walton, was transported to Delaware Valley Hospital for treatment.
