Man Accused of Stalking in Cortland County

Kathy Whyte/WNBF News

A Madison County man is accused of stalking a Cortland County woman.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say 25 year old Robert Mowers II of De Ruyter is accused of calling and texting the Willet woman an excessive number of times between May 1 and May 4.

He’s also accused of following the woman May 1 throughout the Cortlandville Walmart and on her return trip to the Cincinnatus area.

Following his arrest on a stalking charge, Mowers was released on his own recognizance and ordered back in court at a later date.
