Workers late Friday afternoon removed barricades and opened Binghamton's much-debated roundabout.

Finishing touches were applied to signs on Court Street at Exchange and Chenango.

Crews swept up construction debris and picked up orange cones and equipment.

The roundabout opened shortly after 4 p.m. Traffic began to slowly pass through the intersection as drivers maneuvered through the construction zone.

There's still more to be done on the Court Street Gateway Project. The remaining work should be done sometime in November.
