Landlord Banned From Binghamton New York Real Estate Business For 15 Years

Binghamton area property owner, Isaac Anzaroot has been banned from owning or managing property in Binghamton for the next 15 years, along with transferring control of 26 of his properties to the City of Binghamton, according to the Mayor's Office.

The announcement came on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham as a court settlement against  Anzaroot. The court-approved settlement agreement states that Anzaroot is barred from owning, managing, or operating residential and commercial properties in the City of Binghamton for 15 years.

No one person has done more harm to Binghamton’s neighborhoods than Isaac Anzaroot. From my first day in office, I promised to hold bad actors accountable and send a clear message that we will not tolerate slumlords who put families in danger and hurt the integrity of our neighborhoods. According to the City of Binghamton Mayor's Office, Anzaroot will drop all active litigation against the City of Binghamton, waive all future claims, and transfer 26 properties to the City of Binghamton.

He has owned over 100 properties throughout Binghamton under various LLCs and has accrued housing code violations for the properties’ poor conditions.

The City of Binghamton will look to demolish, rehabilitate, sell, or redevelop the parcels to support neighborhood revitalization.
