Johnson City Officer Hurt Chasing Suspect

Assault and other charges are being filed against a 20 year old man following a traffic stop and foot-chase in Johnson City.

Tyquan Gumbs was pulled over by village police for driving without a license.

Authorities say Gumbs ran away, with police giving chase.

During the arrest, one officer suffered a separated shoulder. He was taken to the hospital emergency room for treatment.

Gumbs is charged, in addition to assault, resisting arrest and driving without a license.  He was sent to the Broome County Jail
