Johnson City Man Jailed Following Dispute

A 47-year-old man faces charges after an argument with a woman in Johnson City.

Authorities say David Gavette of Johnson City was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

Police say Gavette was accused of swinging a board at the woman during the dispute. The woman was not hurt.

Gavette was arraigned in Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail.
