The 13th annual Jim "Mudcat" Grant All-Star Golf Tournament presented by Security Mutual Life raised money for four area non-profit organizations as well as the Binghamton Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic.  At a press conference this morning Security Mutual Life  President and CEO Bruce Boyea awarded checks for $10,000 to: The Boys and Girls Clubs of Binghamton, The Broome County Urban League, Catholic Charities of Broome County and CHOW.  The total award was $40,000     Representatives were on hand from each of the organizations to accept their check..

The golf tournament was held at The Links at Hiawatha Island and featured over 40 celebrity guests who took part.  Proceeds go for various projects and services at the respective organizations.  CHOW Director Michael Leahey says the $10,000 contribution will enable CHOW to provide 40,000 meals to needy families in our area.

Additional proceeds from the golf tournament will be awarded to the Binghamton VA Outpatient Clinic in an announcement next week.

Security Mutual Life is over 125 years old, is licensed in all 50 states and is based in Binghamton with headquarters at 100 Court Street.
