Binghamton University basketball standout Alyssa James has been named the America East Co-Player of the Week for her record-breaking performance against Stony Brook last Saturday at the Events Center.  James recorded her first career triple-double scoring 16 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and registering 11 blocks.  11 blocks breaks both the Binghamton Bearcat record and the America East record of nine blocks set by James on November 28, 2015 against Xavier.

James is a junior and becomes just the third Binghamton player to accomplish the feat.  Teammate Imani Watkins notched a triple-double versus Nyack on December 15, 2015.  James was named the America East Defensive Player of the Year last season and currently leads the conference in blocks per game at 2.35 and is ranked 28th in blocks among Division I players in the country.
