Hundreds Attend Benefit For Area Businessman

Tim McGovern is well-known to thousands of residents of the Southern Tier.  Many know him through his business AmeriSpec Home Inspection Service, his volunteer work with Endicott Sertoma or Most Holy Rosary Church or numerous other charities and events.  Today, hundreds turned out at the Endicott Elks Club on Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott for a benefit for Tim,  He is battling cancer.  With the battle comes high medical bills and other expenses.

Today, people turned out to show their love and respect for a man who has given so much to our community.  There was plenty of food and refreshments, entertainment, raffles and door prizes awarded.

Today's event, along with fund-raisers at Most Holy Rosary and the Texas Roadhouse in Vestal, helped raise thousands of dollars to help Tim and his family offset the expenses associated with his treatments.
