Two people face several charges after police seized drugs and weapons in Binghamton.

Authorities say 43-year-old John Wilson and 27-year-old Sacha Alvarez-Rodriguez were arrested Tuesday morning.

Investigators say the suspects live in an apartment on Clinton Street in Binghamton's First Ward. A search warrant was executed shortly after 6 a.m.

According to police, about an ounce of heroin and more than an ounce of cocaine were confiscated, along with ten grams of methamphetamine.

Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force also found a loaded .45 caliber handgun and a stun gun when they searched the couple's apartment.

Wilson and Alvarez-Rodriguez each were charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. They also were charged with criminally using drug paraphernalia.

The suspects were being held at Binghamton Police headquarters pending their arraignment.
