A Delaware County woman is accused of bilking photography customers out of money by promising pictures she never produced.

Sheriff’s officials say they got a number of complaints from people saying 33 year old Christen Wrighter of Hancock, operating as Christin Wrighter Photography, would take full advance payments for photos prior to sessions without handing over the pictures.

Wrighter was seen speeding on State Highway 97 in Hancock, found to have her license suspended and was in illegal possession of Oxycodone and Roxicet.

Officials then charged her with felony counts of scheme to defraud and grand larceny and two counts of petit larceny due to the photography complaints.

Hancock Police also charged her with two additional misdemeanor counts of petit larceny.

Authorities say, so far, they know of five victims reporting they were defrauded out of more than $3,700.

Anyone else who thinks they were victims are asked contact the Delaware County Sheriff’s office or Hancock Village Police.

Wrighter was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $5,000 bail.
