Ganesh Ramsaran Given 25 Years to Life for Murder

The New Berlin man convicted of killing his wife two years ago will spend 25 years to life in prison.

In handing down the maximum sentence to 39 year old Ganesh Ramsaran for the murder of 36 year old Jennifer Ramsaran, Judge Frank Revoir told Ramsaran he showed no remorse and should win an Academy Award for his ability to cry.

During the sentencing proceedings, Ramsaran frequently became belligerent with verbal personal attacks on the judge while maintaining his innocence.

Ramsaran was also arraigned and pleaded not guilty to a bribery charge for allegedly offering $100,000 to a jail guard to have him help in an escape attempt.

He had initially been scheduled to make another court appearance later this week for arraignment on that felony count.
